What is it with boys?

They can give you so much grief (one in particular - gosh, I'm being very disloyal here) but fill you with warm fuzzies too.
Being a Mum is bloomin' hard work isn't it.
One likes to torture me, the other one wants to be like his brother in every way (except the torturing bit.)
How can two boys be so different? My FIL always says "We're all different". He's right, of course. The world would be pretty boring if we weren't.
Yes, it's winter and 12 degrees and yes, they have shorts and t-shirts on...
What is going on in their little minds?
I'm blessed if I know half the time....If Men are from Mars then boys must be from Pluto.

  3. I raised 4 boys, a year apart in age. One winter they walked home from school in deep snow. One of them came in with one boot on and only his sock on the other foot. None of them had any idea where or when he lost the boot with his shoe inside..boys!

  10. Aahhh Kathryn, my 2 girls are like chalk and cheese and so different from me that I often question if I was given the wrong babies to bring home from hospital?? We are all different and unique. As
long as your boys are happy I doubt the cold will kill them.

  11. What is it with kids they don't seem to feel the cold. Julia always dresses like it's 40 degrees outside and Jarrod dresses like it's 2 degrees totally opposite but you gotta love em. Jarrod just came back from camp 2 hours ago and I missed him so much but now I'm thinking he should have stayed longer they have been fighting over the playstation since he got back. KIDS!!!!!! Life would be boring without them. Have a great weekend. Carol

And With our boys soooo trying, tiring and Challenging!

But they are gems in many other ways...
But I am glad I ended up with two girls after my Firstborn Son!
I would'nt have the energy for another Testosterone laden boy!

  14. Oh, Kathryn...sounds like tough times in Mum-town. There's nobody who knows how to push our buttons like our own kids, is there? Lucky we love them more than anything else in the world, huh?

  15. You asked me how I survived raising 4 boys..When they would sleep at night I would kiss the little hands with the dirty finger nails and know to love them a lot because all the roughness was preparing them for the weight of the world to be on their shoulders all too soon.

Mom's might not understand them, but without a mom's gentleness they would grow up to be giants instead of gentle giants.

  16. Yep, boys without thermostats - shorts in winter, to the tunes of 'PLEASE put a jumper on!', and hoodies in summer - 'Aren't you HOT in that?'

    Ya just gotta luv em
