Mental.....

After a new customer suggested I should set up a Facebook page for Our Shabby Cottage, I did.

I have never been so busy. I had two orders to stock shops in Sydney and 8 other orders. I have never made so many Princess Cushions!!!

It's keeping me out of trouble and away from the blog.....but I'm not complaining. Thank you Jodie, you are resposible for all of this!!!!!

The end result, two silhouette canvases of my little boys!

Black cotton on linen then applied to a canvas.

Drama on the home front......

 We discovered this yesterday. It's the new house next door.....they haven't moved in yet.

 You can imagine how upset I was....thank goodness it did not touch the house or the hot water service.

 Our own brick retaining wall will have to be repaired.....$$$$$...not our money though.

Along with a lot of the fence.

On the Home front........

Whilst the back of our home is just about finished, there is still a lot of work to be done at the front and upstairs. I thought I'd show you what is being worked on at the moment. There is always something to be done at Our Shabby Cottage!

The stairs are slowly being painted.....

 

 The front door now has some architraving around it!

And so does our front lounge room entrance.

 This is an exciting room for me to look forward to...watch this space! Think white, golden tones with a splash of black! Woah! Let's hope it all comes together.....
