Quilt...

I have been surrounded by quilters lately....and you know what?
These "quilty people" have hijacked my every thought for a few days now....
so much so that I began this on the weekend......

Yep, I have begun a quilt. Yes you heard me, a fair dinkum, dinky die quilt.
I decided to make it for my Grandmother for Christmas......
(I know some of my family read my blog so please DO NOT say anything or there will be trouble...)
I have made 9 blocks already with this one being the central one.
I never thought I would say it... but I think I am beginning to like quilting!!!!
Maybe these "quilty people" have good reason to be so obsessed.
Wish me luck...

Oooooooh Kathryn, how gorgeous is that, & you have embroidered in the centre. I have made 3 quilts, quite a few years ago & have done quite a bit of embroidery & just find it so relaxing. Maybe I should get back into it. Your Grandma is just going to LOVE it, what a great Chrissie pressie.

Happy quilting

Kathryn ~
I've been wondering about you! Now I know why you've been absent. That quilt square is beautiful!!! Your grandmother will love it for sure ~ mostly because her granddaughter made it for her. I know that's how I would feel.

I'll be praying for a lot of un-interrupted time to devote to your quilting.

And oh yes, I'm quite partial to that phrase ~ "fair dinkum, dinky die"!

Have a happy one!

Looks very delicate and pretty!
My siter is a quilter but I cannot sew a stitch!
I lack the patience required to do it!
All the patience I possess goes to raising kids...Hee,hee
