String and sticky tape....

What do your kids do to entertain themselves?
Mine do this......

A ball of string and some sticky tape.. It is a little hard to see in the photo, but they had string all over their bedroom, bits hanging off it.....It was a bit hard tucking them into bed last night. They had fun though! Now, they are busy trying to take it down. Our agreement was only for the weekend! They named it "The Spiders Web". It will be interesting to see what they come up with next......

If you are wondering about the horse in the background, my Dad built it from scratch. As soon as we announced our engagement my Dad was out in his shed whistling away happily working on it. My Mum painted it and Dad also did all the leather work on it. He is contemplating making another one so there aren't any fights over it later on !!!!

It was a glorious weekend here. Our weather is starting to improve. Yeah! I hope you all had a lovely weekend too!

Love the horse Kathryn. We have a special horse too that my blind uncle made for Sarah. The gardens are smiling all over Ballarat.

ohmygosh Kathryn your boys are soooo like my Sam. Sam will use my ribbons and tie tables to chairs and cupboard doors to tv cabinets and then padlock them all etc...you get the picture, LOL. You have double the trouble! HAHA. It's so fun but watching their little minds at work and hearing the giggling! I love it! Your boys are so gorgeous.I bet they were having a ball. Thats just the best thing to see.

And that rocking horse is amazing. Talent runs in the family!

My kids often used to do things like the 'spiders web' but not so much now they are teenagers. I can remember doing it as a child too and as long as it was packed up on Monday morning for the week I was happy!! My daughters room looks like that all the time now, and not on purpose!!
What a beautiful rocking horse.

Just goes to show Kathryn...kids don't need expensive electronic toys to have a whole weekend of fun. I used to get my girls to paint the fence with magic disappearing paint(water)and large paint brushes. All they need is imagination.
Isn't this weather beautiful!!

Yes, my little boy does the same thing except out in the back yard. He winds string around fences and tree and sticks it up with sticky tape. He tell me they are levtric (electric) fences (like Daddy makes around the farm). Very cute.

Kathryn thank you for popping across to my blog. I had a go with the zipper thing it was ok but it's not very tidy. Not sure how close to the zip you sew or do you sew the zip in with the side seems? sorry probably haven't explained myself very well.
