My hand hurts....

....from all of the staple gunning I did on the weekend. I have blisters and I ache...all over. Reaching up, reaching down and stappling until we'd all had enough! Needless to say I have slept extremely well for the past two nights!! Mum and Dad came down Saturday to help us install some of the concertina batts we are using to insulate the walls in the new house. Everone had something to do.
Mum did the cutting to fit in between the studs.
Dad finished off some of the door jams...
Hubs started building the hearth for the fireplace....
Master 6 constructed a concertina Wall-E!!!
And master 8 took the blurry photos! (I picked the best ones!)

And, of course we had smoko!

I am sewing today Yeah! But I will be back at the house tomorrow trying to get the insulation finished before the plasterers are in next week (I think).

How did you spend your weekend?

Hi Kathryn,
I hope your hands & body have stopped aching by now, what a job.
Love the Wall-E he is super cool, my kids have seen the movie & have also got the Wii game, will have to show tham your pic tomorrow.
Master 8 did a great job with the photos too.
As for the weekend, we went to see a local production of Rent, the musical, one of the young girls I work with was in it, went 10 pin bowling on Saturday & then had a lazy day at home on Sunday.

I am so excited to be able to follow along with you with your home. It's such a rare view inside the in's and out's of all the work that goes into it and then we get to see your touch all over when done. THank you so much for having us every week.

Happy sewing, maybe your hands will feel better just touching pretty fabrics. :)

Love how everyone pitches in and Master 8's photos are super!

I spent most of saturday cleaning out our storage room ~ I'm moving the freezer into it. It used to be in my laundry room. We're still waiting on some cabinets to put in there. I can't wait to finish it up!

I really love the dolls - both sorts. Just found your lovely blog by accident - the name attracted me because I have a cottage blog, too!
