It's official.....

I have Whooping Cough.
I have felt a bit miserable for a few days and had a dreadful cough for about 10 days. I succumbed and went to the doctor yesterday. Apparently there has been a dramatic rise in cases from last year. So, after being diagnosed, we realised that we had all had it over the past 6 weeks starting with Master 7, then Hubs, Master 8 and now me. Because I had been to the doctor within 14 days of it starting I was able to go on antibiotics. It is not fun and the coughing is horrific.
I think I would like to curl up in bed again (like our "Coco" above!) and not do much today....
Have a great weekend,
Kathryn. XX

Go on Katherine, jump in with Coco. Rest will be good for you and the house and sewing can wait for another day.
Hope your antibiotics kick in and you are feeling at least half human tomorrow.

Hiya
OMG I thought whooping cough was in our past.I get really worried about getting sick because even though we were breast fed therefore should have received all the antibodies needed(hogwash!), one of my daughters and I are highly allergic to more than 1 antibiotic. Strangely enough my job requires me to be in the drs surgery & hospital surrounding often so you would think I would be at more risk. I hope you are feeling much better soon and look after each other.
Take Care!!

What bad news - do hope you are feeling better soon, Kathryn. Cuddle your cat, and your kids, and your husband, be kind to yourself and make sure everyone else is, too!

Meant to add, your Coco is the twin to our Bella, that gorgeous coloured nose, outlined with black....if anything like Bella, loads of character and spirit too!
