Signing off...just for a little while.

I just wanted to (quickly) pop in and say that I will be signing off for a couple of weeks to concentrate on the house. With only two weeks to go we are going mental trying to get as much as we can finished in time before we move. Painting, flooring, tiling, packing, cleaning....you know the drill.
The school holidays don't help much either....... I think a few "plays" with friends will be in order!
Anyway, I hope you are all well and happy, and I'll "see" you in the new house......whoohoo!
Lots of hugs to you all, till then, Kathryn. XXXXXOOOOO

Exhaustion......

It has been all hands on deck at the new house this past week. With only 3 weeks to go until we move in, we have had to inlist a few helpers! My Dad has been staying with us to do the architraves and skirting boards as well as installing doors and a few locks. I have been painting walls and a couple of doors, puttying nail holes, sweeping up plaster dust, and generally being helper to Dad. Our garage door has been installed, the stairs put in, part of the wood heater installed, one side fence, and painting has begun thanks to our friend, Wally, who kindly said he'd spray the house for us. We just have to do the top coat on the walls. How great is that?
This post is a real effort to do.
I ache. I want to go to bed now and it's only 5.30!!!
But, physical exhaustion is the best kind to have when you know a new home is on the horizon.

Amongst it all.....

Amongst all the packing, organising, visitors (here on the weekend to help at the house and for Master 8's confirmation at church), I managed to get this order for a pretty cushion finished.
It was the first time I had touched the poor sewing machine in 8 days! Withdrawals or what!
It is very similar to this one.
And here is Master 8 on his Confirmation day on Sunday.
He read one "prayer of the faithful" in front of the whole congregation of over 100.
His Mummy couldn't even do that without having palpitations and going all red faced....
So proud.
Then we all went out for a delicious lunch. It was a great day.
