Life.....

Some of you may have realised that I haven't been around much lately? I have had so much going on regarding school, the shop and just daily life.
I have been reading a lot. I have found myself wanting to broaden my horizons and educate my mind. I recently read a book by Lawrence Hill, a Canadian, called "Someone knows my Name" - it was released in Canada under "The book of Negroes". It is an account (fictional but none the less realistic in a lot of ways and factual in others) of one womans life of abduction from her homeland in Africa in the 1700's, slavery, uprising and salvation and peace. I realise, after reading this book, that in this day and age we are so lucky and take so many things for granted.
So, I'm going to take a little time out to really appreciate my life, family and friends.
And, comeback with gusto!
See you soon, Kathryn. XX

Enjoy your special time Kathryn - may it be enlightening, comforting and fulfilling. At some point we all need to stop, breathe and rejuvenate.
Looking forward to your return.

Dear kathryn...

I absolutely know where you are coming from..and/or heading..

As nearly 53 yo I kind of ponder about what i do..what i know..what i read??

BUT i then have to go back to studying law...ALL that reading..especially difficult law books...(no internet in my day)..

Now as a lady of so called leisure..the OLD MIND has kind of carked it...& I need stimulus as well...
(luckily byron sends me his law stuff which kind of keeps my mind in tune a tad)..

BUT i GET what you are saying TOTALLY...& I am happy you have reached this milestone at your "YOUNG" age...

AS learning/reading/comprehending only becomes more difficult the older one gets..(well that is what I think)..

soo take your time...enjoy your new house...your young children..your website & sewing...

When the time is right..you will/ maybe want to come back to blog land...(not that I am an expert in that field.....but life/kids...I am pretty adept at that...I think??)..

soo just do as you feel is right for you....& reading MORE is an AWESOME start & end??

xxx andrea
