AWOL.....

Yep, I have been a.w.o.l. from the blog for ages and not updating as much as I used to. I have been a busy bee but, I have been updating my Facebook Page more often, so if you have missed me, go and 'like' my page and get your fix there! Thank you, to those of you loyal enough to come and read my blog on a regular basis too!

Anyway, something a little exciting happened here this morning. After waiting 11 long months, the joiner came today and installed the front panel of the bench and the mantle over the oven! What a difference it makes. He is coming back tomorrow to put the bulkheads on over the cabinets and mantle.
Then, we have the tiler coming on Friday and plasterers next week!!! I cannot tell you how this makes me feel after 20 months of living in a half finished kitchen!
OK, on with the before pic and onto the progress......

Before, with no mantle and the bench unfinished.....
Front panel on the bench put on...
Timber bench top put back on and mantle being installed
 Mantle
Bench

Voila!
I will keep you posted with progress!
