This week I finally had the chance to sew up Nikki's A-Line Skirt (You can buy yourself a copy here)
I made the shorter version in some beautiful Rachel Ashwell heavy weight fabric that I have had in my cupboard for about 6 years. I haven't dared cut into it before now!
It is the perfect fit and feels really great on; perfect for us women with a defined waistline.
Nikki's instructions are incredibly detailed and easy to read and follow, with helpful photos too. This pattern is one that I can see myself using over and over again.
'Thanks Nikki!', and Thanks Rachel Ashwell!

I love seeing this skirt made up - I bought the pattern myself about a month ago and am saving it for January when I'm going to have a big skirt sewing session. However I did use the invisible zip instructions from the pattern to put a zip into a dress just last week. Thankyou for sharing!
It's absolutely gorgeous Kathryn! Really suits you, and I agree about it being a wonderful pattern.
Oh Kathryn, that is 'so' you. Gorgeous fabric, great shape, and really nice with your green cardi and boots
Love this pattern, and yours looks FABULOUS
Gorgeous Kathryn!
I'm looking forward to making some summery versions for myself. I didn't realise that Rachel Ashwell had a fabric line too.
