Eat, drink and be crafty - at Ric Rac's!

This is what I did yesterday.....
The lovely Jodie from "Ric Rac" hosted a bunch of girls, from the local area, for a "craft" day.

We didn't get cratfting until after lucnh - too much talking, eating, swapping, show and tell, and of course some of us "meeting" for the first time. I have known Jodie for a while now, since our ebay days, but it was great to meet a few other girls with similar interests and who "get it" when it comes to crafting!!
This is a beautiful little dress Jodie was lining for one of her dolls....

This is the beautiful quilt Annie from "Flower Garden" was hand quilting....
It is a stunning quilt and you will find more info here on Annie's blog.

Bernadette, from "The Quilting B" was working on her "Dear Jane" quilt blocks.....She said yesterday that she has been working on it for over a year now..She is the lovely lady who has quilted Jodie's "Granny's quilt"

Rachel of "Four Wise Monkeys" was doing her beautiful stitchery for the Stitchers Angel swap....She also showed us some of her beautiful quilts she has made. Her applique stitchery is amazing...
Kate from "What Katie did" also joined us in the afternoon she showed us an amazing quilt she has been working on - unfortunately I didn't get a photo of it but you can see it on her blog.

I made a sunglasses case from my favourite Cath Kidston fabric. I used an old frame I had stashed away in the cupboard. Jodie had a wonderful tutorial for me to follow.... so it was very easy..... It will match this bag..

Finally, most of us had a go at making one of her "thank you snails". I finished mine last night by adding some eyes and a pink bow!!

Here she is in the garden.....

A big "thank you" to Jodie and the other wonderful ladies whom I met yesterday. I had a fantastic day and I can't wait until the next one!!

I love that Cath K print too, I have bedroom curtains in it (with the cream background). It realy does achieve the vintage look, I think. Love your little snail!

I've been wondering how you tell a girl snail from a boy snail. Of course! The girls wear pink bows. :>} Did she win the race?

Thanks for sharing photos of a crafty get together - looks like so much fun!
