My sewing mojo has returned.....

It's back......
I made these cute little pin cushions yesterday. They will be in the shop and etsy soon....
The trim on this Union Jack cushion is vintage and I found it at the "Dookie Emporium".
I knew, as soon as I spotted it, where it was destined....I have two of these - available soon on the website and etsy.
And, I could stand it no longer. My old ironing board cover had a great big gapping hole in the middle of it (not to mention the revolting fabric itself) so a new one was in order. I have decided to try and start decreasing my fabric stash and get and use it.
This fabric is called "Kate" by Laura Ashley and I have had it for ages.....
It was much easier to make than I thought and I was finished in 45 minutes. The hardest part was threading the elastic through!!

The kids are having a "Free Dress Day" at school today with a gold coin donation to raise money for the bushifire victims. I saw a lot of kids with $5 notes. With nearly 600 kids at the school they should raise quite a lot of money. One of the teachers' brothers' hired a truck and will be going down to Whittlesea today with donated toys, clothes, animal supplies etc...
People have been wonderful haven't they?

Kathryn, I think it is wonderful how all the schools have got involved. Our primary school also hired a truck to deliver goods today. My girls donated their bikes which have hardly ever been used as we live on a steep hill.
I love those pretty pin cushions.
Hugs,
Kerryanne

Kathyrn, I love your pinchusions! They are just too cute! And I love the picture of the boys at your ground breaking ceremony. I am sure they loved getting in all that dirt and making a holey mess!

OMGosh!!! Those pincushions are darling! I LOVE them. The fundraiser sounds like a wonderful thing to do to help the people affected by the tragic fires!

Those pincushions are adorable!!!! Our kids also had a free dress day and managed to raise over $1000 which isn't bad for a school of 300! The community spirit is wonderful!

Hey Kathryn the pincushions are just so cute & love how your ironing board looks now will make ironing a bit more pleasurable (stretching it a bit there). Dylans school also had a Mufti Day today will find out next week how much was raised. It really is great how people just keep on donating.

Have a great weekend & Valentines Day

Lovely... absolutely beautiful. {{{{{MOJO}}}}} don't you love mojo!! When I go absolutely cold I do the thing which I dislike the most, I poop scopp the yard after the pups. This usually reminds me of the pinks, whites, sage greens that call out to me!! I'm glad your back to sewing. Very pretty cushions.
