Finally we have a decent table to sit at!

Look what arrived yesterday! The new dining table, chairs and buffet!
For the last 11 years we have been sitting at a round four seater table which does make it hard when you want to invite friends or family over for a meal!!!
Poor Hubs had to rush home from work to meet the truck because I had a prior engagement with Master 8 who was participating in a "Travel Expo" at school.
(They had to research an Australian town, present it in brochure form and then try to sell their town for a holiday!)
I'm glad Hubs did come home becuase that meant he could put the table together while I unpacked the chairs.....
The amount of packaging was incredible.
Slowly getting it all unwrapped!
Et voila!
We are so pleased with how it all looks and fits into the dining area. We really wanted a chunky farmhouse look for the kitchen and couldn't find anything remotely right here in Ballarat - and things were so much more expensive here too.
We ended up going to Geelong to the Early Settler store, we bought the buffet to match for the same price as just buying a table and chairs here.
I think I could have bought out the entire store, it had so many lovely things that would fit perfectly in our home.
Slowly it is coming together.

Looks excellent! Love the Early Settlers stores - I have to go to Albury to get my fix. Bet it's totally transformed your kitchen area!

Love it! I think it is the exact one my Mum was trying to describe to me as she stood in Early Settler the other day. We are planning on getting a little bit of stuff there!

Kathryn, that dining tablet and chairs AND the cabinet are so my taste. I have been poitning out the same styles at Early Settler here to my husband but he has terrible trouble getting his head round the idea of the white. I just keep telling him to not think about it but buy it-ho hum maybe one day.

Looks great Kathryn! I had the same suite in my last house, but in the all white. They have gorgeous stuff there. Everyday Living is another good one.

I've just realised that is my profile pic - looking towards one end with the smaller buffet and mirror, the large one like yours was at the other end.

Lovely! How exciting. :-) My husband is going to pick up a "new" dining set I found on eBay today. haha It is the same set I've been wanting for ages at Everyday Living, but much cheaper! :-) So, I know how you must feel about your new furniture. hehe

nicely designed furniture. It must have been a product from a good store. Proper research is needed about the store and manufacturer before buying furniture. The store has to be really accomplished in manufacturing diner furniture and from my experience I can give you one reference i.e. Richardson Seating Corp (http://www.richardsonseating.com/).
