My Creative Space....

Today in 'My Creative Space' I have been assembling a few more 'Royal Guards' which have been evolving since I last posted about them here.

 And, I have also been tagging things for the next market as well as making a few more brooches. 

I am hoping to get everything finished for the 'Buninyong (Christmas) Makers Market' this week so I can relax next week and just do a few things for me, like a new dress that I have the fabric for, just waiting in the wings!

My Creative Space......

In 'My Creative Space' today I am making a few more of these 'Mother and Child Matryoshka' sets.

 Yesterday, I received an email from a lady who has just had a little baby girl and she is Matryoshka mad, a bit like me! She was after a 'Mother and Child' set and this is how they turned out, cute huh?

So, why didn't I think of that before???

I have been making lots of 'travel' themed products. 

 The 'travel' themed notebook covers were a huge hit at the last Buninyong Makers Market.

Taking pics of some new 'Tutu Cute' Lavender sachets.......

By the way, back here when they were first blogged about I put it out there for suggestions on the name for these little sachets. Well, Kylie from A Bite of Country Cupcakes suggested 'Tu-Tu cute' and Sarah from Shabby Roses and Pretty Things suggested 'Tutu Cute' - so, guess what girls? I have a little surprise for you - your very own Tutu Cute sachet will be coming your way!

In my creative space today I have been making a few more of these lavender bags in the shape of a dress/tutu? Any suggestions for what I could call them? The brain is a bit fried, in holiday mode, and I can't think straight!

Bit of a mess really.....
But I think the messier the better?

My creative space.....

Inspired by Catherine (the amazing fashionista), Nikki's friend, at Sewjourn a few weels ago, I bought some fabric yesterday with this skirt in mind.
I have pleated it the same on the back too. I think I will leave the sides flat at the seams - I don't need more enhancing in the hip department! And, I'm going to be daring and put the zip on the outside of the seam. It seems to be the thing to do at the moment.
I am usually one of those sewers who do most things by the book with my mother in my head saying "you must make it look neat".
So, I am going to be a rebel! (and not wear this skirt in front of my Mum!!!!!)
I'll post a photo when it is finished.

My creative space.......

Today, in "My Creative Space", I have been taking more photos of the cushions I have just finished.

This fabric is from the "Fragonard" collection by Richloom fabrics. I bought it years ago and I haven't had the guts ( I hope my MIL isn't readign this - she hates the word "guts". It is pretty awful isn't it) to chop in to it. But what is the point of having these wonderful fabrics if we don't use them?
And this one is made with a Laura Ashley fabric from the US. I have no idea what this one is called. Perhaps I should have looked at the selvedge?
I finished my sewing room curtains today too (YEAH!) and hubs helped me put them up. I will take a photo tomorrow and show you.

Camera in hand in our lounge room, trying to get the perfect pattern cover shot for the "Matryoshka Rose" doll quilt and pillow. (coming soon)
